Welcome back for the start of another exciting term!

Hi everyone and welcome back. I hope you had a great break from school and are ready for another school term.

Please post a comment below about something you did in the holidays and something you would like to achieve this term.

It can be something to do with school or something outside of school.

This term our topic is called CHANGE & CRISIS and we will be starting the term off by looking at ANZAC day. Each year we celebrate the lives of those who went to war and did not come home and we celebarte the returned serviceman who fought in the wars and returned home again. On April 25 each year ANZAC Day servives are held in New Zealand, Australia and Turkey. Wreaths are laid, the Last Post is played and it is a chance for us all to remember the past and in particular those who fought for our country.

Your challenge is to attend an ANZAC Day servive this year. The dawn parade is often the most powerful service but so are others during the day.

At school we will be discussing the services and the ANZAC day celebrations so it will be great to have had as many of you as possible attend the service so you can contribute to our discussions. We will also be looking at the traditions behind the services and if it is still current and relevant.

What do you think? Should we remember the past?

Camp

Hi everyone and welcome back to the blog. We had a fabulous week at Totaranui last week and below is a selection of some of the photographs that were taken during the week. We had glorious weather, lots of fun relaxing at the beach and kayaking, abseiling, searching for crabs, diving for muscles, cooking meals, sleeping in the tents and walking parts of the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park.

Thanks so much to everyone who made our week possible!!!
